Bali for tourists: entry app, cultural festivals, and new shuttles

Mandatory All Indonesia app
From September 1, 2025, Indonesia introduces the mandatory All Indonesia app for all tourists and travelers entering the country. It must be installed on a smartphone, and all electronic documents and forms completed in advance, which speeds up checks and facilitates border control. Passengers can complete the declaration three days before arrival while still in their departure country, as well as upon arrival. Filling out the declaration is free and required for all visitors to the country.
Cultural weekends in Kuta
The new “Kuta Cultural Weekends” festival will be held monthly on the last Sunday at the Majelang stage in Segara Temple. Events include traditional dances, craft workshops, and local culinary offerings, allowing tourists to explore Balinese culture. The festival is aimed at visitors of all ages and is open without prior registration.
Simplified payment of the tourist tax
Previously, the new tourist tax could only be paid at the arrival terminal or via the official website and the LoveBali app. Now registered agencies and tour operators can act as tax payment partners, significantly simplifying the process. New payment points are located in key tourist areas of the island.
Ling Gwan Kiong Temple in Singaraja
Most temples in Bali are Hindu, making the recently restored Ling Gwan Kiong Buddhist temple in Singaraja in the north of the island especially interesting. It offers a unique cultural experience: tourists can see the renovated architecture and artistic design, and learn about rare rituals and local traditions. The temple is open daily.
Electric shuttle buses in Sanur
By the end of 2025, new electric shuttle buses will be fully launched in Sanur. Six vehicles already operate on the main routes of the region, improving accessibility to key attractions for tourists and residents. In addition, there is a focus on environmental care.
Indonesia continues to create comfortable conditions for tourists by combining digital innovations, cultural events, and eco-friendly transport solutions, making trips to the island even more convenient and filled with new experiences.
