Indonesia and Roscosmos to Build Cosmodrome

Indonesia has announced a partnership with Roscosmos to build its first spaceport.

Biak Island in Papua Province has been identified as a suitable location for the spaceport due to its logistical requirements.

The project involves four parties: BRIN, Roscosmos, Indonesian company PT URPI, and Russian organization Glavkosmos. The concept of the facility assumes openness of use — the spaceport will be available to anyone who can make a payment.
