Indonesia Among the Most Resilient Countries

According to several international publications - including Daily Mail, NDTV, and Metro - Indonesia has been listed among nations analysts view as comparatively resilient in the scenario of a major global war.
The assessment does not imply complete safety, but rather a relative level of risk. The conclusions are based on several key factors: geopolitical neutrality, a non-aligned foreign policy, geographic distance from major military hubs, and strong positions in global peace rankings.
In addition to Indonesia, the list includes:
- Antarctica
- New Zealand
- Switzerland
- Iceland
- Tuvalu
- Argentina
- Bhutan
- Chile
- Fiji
Experts emphasize that Indonesia’s resilience is largely attributed to its long-standing diplomatic balance - the country is not part of major military alliances and maintains relations with multiple global powers. Its archipelagic geography and potential food self-sufficiency, supported by strong agricultural resources, are also considered important factors.
At the same time, analysts stress that no country can be considered completely “immune.” Even if a nation avoids direct military confrontation, global economic, trade, and financial consequences would inevitably affect nearly all parts of the world.
