SAKA Museum in Bali has become one of the most beautiful in the world

SAKA Museum, located in Jimbaran, Ayana Bali, has been named one of the World’s Most Beautiful Museums 2025 by the prestigious Prix Versailles architecture awards (France).

The museum is the only Indonesian representative on this international list, joining iconic institutions such as the Grand Palais in Paris and the Cleveland Museum of Natural History in the United States.

Since opening in 2024, SAKA Museum has already received recognition from TIME Magazine and the Kyoto Global Design Awards for its innovative and sustainable design.

The museum’s permanent and temporary exhibitions explore the culture, spirituality and nature of Bali, including:

• The Kasanga: Nyepi Exhibition — about the Day of Silence
• Subak: The Ancient Order of Bali — about the unique irrigation system and water temples
• The Five Elements — about the Balinese understanding of the five elements: earth, water, fire, air and ether

The museum’s director, Dr. Judith Bosnak called the award "a source of pride and recognition of the importance of cultural spaces that inspire and unite."
