Indonesia is expanding

Indonesia now has 17,380 islands! The Indonesian Geoinformation Authority announced the discovery of 63 new islands, which are now officially included in Indonesia's registry.

The new islands had previously gone unnoticed due to their remoteness and complex geography, but thanks to the use of modern technology and satellite imagery, they were discovered.
