Bill Gates in Indonesia

This week, Bill Gates flew to Jakarta, met with President Prabowo, and immediately made headlines.
He has committed $159 million (Rp 2.6 trillion) in grants to Indonesia for health, nutrition, technology, and agricultural development. Of this, $5 million (Rp 82.6 billion) will go to developing technology in the country.
Gates personally visited a school in Jakarta to see first-hand how the Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG) program works - free meals for children, pregnant women, and lactating women. He was impressed by the scale and emphasized the importance of supporting women and children in the first 1,000 days of life.
And yes - Indonesia will be one of the first countries where the Gates Foundation will launch MMS supplements - tablets with vitamins and minerals to combat anemia in pregnant women.
