Tourist Arrivals to Indonesia Continue to Grow

According to Indonesia’s Central Statistics Agency, more than 1 million international tourists visited the country in January. This represents a 1.1% increase compared to January 2025, highlighting a steady recovery and continued growth in the tourism sector.

The largest number of visitors came from Malaysia - around 150.5 thousand travelers. Australia ranked second with 145.9 thousand tourists, while China took third place with 105.3 thousand visitors.

The main entry point to the country remains Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport, which handled more than half of all international arrivals - about 500.1 thousand tourists. Other key gateways include Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta, which served 212.8 thousand foreign passengers, and Hang Nadim Airport in Batam, through which 124.2 thousand travelers entered Indonesia.
