How to measure kindness? The World Giving Index has the answer. In 2023, 4.3 billion people around the world helped strangers, donated money, or volunteered.

Since its first release in 2010, this long-term research project has analyzed three aspects of charitable behavior:

Helping a stranger or someone in need.

Donating money to charity.

Volunteering for an organization.

Indonesia has once again topped the list for the seventh year in a row, and 75 countries have improved their scores. This index reminds us that generosity knows no bounds, and caring for others is a universal value.
