Usada Bali

Bali Governor Wayan Koster has ordered the acceleration of the integration of traditional Balinese medicine Usada Bali into the healthcare system.

“This is not only part of the cultural heritage, but also a path to health, independence and sovereignty in the medical field,” he said.

What is planned:

• creation of standards and certification of practitioners
• collection of data on medicinal plants
• development of zones for their cultivation
• digitization of ancient manuscripts (lontars)
• strengthening traditional medicine laboratories

The goal is to make Bali a national center for traditional medicine, while preserving its unique cultural identity.
