Will replace all towers

Will replace all towers

The Governor of Bali, Wayan Koster, made a firm statement: chaotic, “dirty” communication towers that spoil the island’s appearance will be dismantled. In their place, a single signal and broadcasting center will be built in North Bali — the Turyapada Tower.

“We will create a Perda (local regulation). Randomly placed towers will be removed. One is enough — Turyapada,” Koster declared at the launch of digital TV in Buleleng.

At the same time, the governor instructed Buleleng authorities to prepare regulations to restrict development around the tower:

  • Preserve green zones
  • Ban construction near the tower
  • Limit the height of new buildings
  • Prevent speculative land sales

“Don’t sell your land! Instead, develop it through partnerships. We must not be mere spectators on our own land,” Koster told the residents of Pegayaman and Sukasada villages.

The tower has already improved life in the region:

— Digital TV is now available in 90% of Buleleng’s villages

— In the future, the site will become a tourist magnet with a planetarium, restaurants, and a skywalk

— Tax revenue from the new tourist site will stay within Buleleng’s budget

The first draft of the regulation will be released soon to protect the environment and support smart economic development in North Bali. Once fully operational, the Turyapada Tower will not only be a tourist destination but also a digital communication hub for all of North Bali — backed by clear legal regulations.
