The number of tourist trips during the Christmas and New Year period is expected to reach 110.67 million.
From January to September 2024, the country received 10.3 million foreign tourists, while domestic trips accounted for almost 758 million trips.
"We must ensure the safety, comfort and high quality of travel for tourists, both local and foreign," the minister said.
Indonesia has risen to 22nd place in the World Tourism Development Index (TTDI), ranking 2nd in ASEAN and 6th in the Asia-Pacific region.
