Affordable Travel

Domestic air travel is about to become more affordable! Minister of State Enterprises Erick Thohir and the Ministry of Tourism are joining forces to reduce prices for domestic flights.

Higher prices have long been a nuisance for travelers: many found it cheaper to fly around the region via Singapore or Kuala Lumpur, but this meant re-issuing a visa upon returning to Indonesia. With the new fares, tourists will be able to more easily explore the many islands without leaving the country.

A special task force will be formed to address the issue and will begin work in one to two weeks.
